Alpha Foundations Partners with Habitat for Humanity for a Second Time

This year, the Alpha Foundations team partnered with Habitat for Humanity. As part of the companywide Build Together 2024 initiative, employees assisted in home builds for members of the local communities.

Alpha’s parent company, Groundworks, donated $100,000 Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the country to support long-term stability through safe and affordable housing. Part of the Goodworks by Groundworks program, this partnership gives 5,000 employees the chance to volunteer in 63 communities throughout the year.

Tampa

On September 13, the Tampa team participated in a build with Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside to beautify the outside of a newly constructed home.

Five team members spent the day landscaping, placing mulch and foliage at the site and were grateful for the chance to improve the community they serve.

Jacksonville

Alpha employees in Jacksonville volunteered their time on November 13 at a new home in Green Cove Springs. Clay County Habitat for Humanity hosted 11 volunteers that installed siding and sod at the site. The team had a great time helping in their local neighborhood!

Orlando

On the same day as Jacksonville’s build, Alpha team members in Orlando partnered with Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopoka. Five employees worked at a home installing trim and assisting with landscaping at the property in Sanford.

Fort Myers

Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties had three Alpha employees at their build site on November 15. Volunteers helped install a weather-resistant barrier and insulation on the home’s framing.

“Thank you again for your help in setting up the volunteer day we had with Groundworks/Alpha Foundations. We ended up having three volunteers on site, and they were amazing! They quickly worked through the Tyvek and Blueboard and had the house wrapped within 15 minutes of getting started!” – Charles Padhaisky, Director of Strategic Partnerships

Miami

In Coral Springs, Alpha volunteers partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Broward. Eight employees spent the day installing ceiling strips and interior framing in 3 townhome units at the site.

“On behalf of the entire Habitat for Humanity of Broward Team, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your dedicated volunteer work with us! Your commitment has brought us closer to making the dream of homeownership a reality for our deserving partner families.” -Elle Dizaar, AmeriCorps Volunteer Services Coordinator

Tallahassee

Last but not least, teammates from the Tallahassee office volunteered with Big Bend Habitat for Humanity. Employees constructed framing at the build site in Tallahassee. Their efforts were featured on WCTV (CBS).
